Mother Says Same Cop Beat Her Teenaged Son
posted (December 10, 2019)
Tonight another mother is complaining about police beating her son - and she says it's the same cop seen in that video!

Anacelia Castillo says the cop she saw on TV last night with the brutality against Anthony Tillett looked very familiar.

On Sunday, a team of police including Ramirez went looking for her 14 year old son after a cop's motorbike was stolen in the George and West Street area.

She says police went to her yard, and beat down her son - and she's upset because her son is the one who ended up being charged for assaulting officer #2326 Francis Ramirez:…

Anacelia Castillo, Mother of Beaten Boy
"I just heard whap with the big baton that Francis Ramirez had in his hand. So I ran out from my gate and I said "mista, why are you beating my baby for?" and by the time I asked that, he punched me in my face here."

"So they arrested and charged your son?"

Anacelia Castillo, Mother of Beaten Boy
"Yes, the arrest and charged him for assaulting an officer. My baby didnt even knock the man. When you are handcuffed, how will you assault an officer, if you are beating him? My little boy is ony 14 years old."

Reporter
"Was he charged in relation to any theft of a motorbike or anything like that?"

Anacelia Castillo, Mother of Beaten Boy
"No sir. He was with the crowd that stole the cycle. He doesnt even know to ride a cycle, we have bicycle."

Reporter
"Do you feel that in this case your son may have a wrong, but the officer have a bigger wrong, but you may be blindly taken up for your son."

Anacelia Castillo, Mother of Beaten Boy
"No sir. That is not for him, so he can't bring it there. I didn't take up for him and I was telling the officer that I am not swaying for my son. Moreover, if you are beating my child, I have to take up for my child."

Her son pleaded not guilty in family court. He is a student of Nazarene High.
