Last night on the news we told you that a body had been found outside Teakettle on the Young Gyal Road. Tonight the family of 17 year old Damion Bregal is saying that it is his remains. The minor had been missing since Friday the 13th when he left his Belmopan home in the company of friends.
According to a police report, Bregal's remains were found yesterday evening just before 5:30 in an advanced state of decomposition.
And this discovery is a devastating blow for a family that was still holding onto the hope of finding their son who had only been missing for 5 days. We visited their home earlier today and found a personalized memorial to the young man covering the door of the home to which he will, unfortunately, never return.
It's an unspeakable loss for the family and today his aunt told LOVE TV what they are going through - she asked to appear off camera:
The family is burying his remains tonight in Belmopan.
