Jealousy and Murder In Franks Eddy?
posted (December 19, 2019)

A 39-year-old Franks Eddy Villager was murdered last night in front of his wife and 10-year-old daughter. David Coc was at home with his family when two men came to his house and shouted for him to come outside. Coc refused and the men forced their way in and chopped Coc to death. The report is that Coc's killer wanted to be with his wife and because he could not have her, he was overcome by jealous rage and went after Coc. Courtney Weatherburne has the story.

This Franks Eddy Village home was left in disarray, the door was hanging on by only a couple hinges and muddy bloodstained clothes were thrown in the yard.

But this is just a snippet of the aftermath of last night's vicious machete attack.

David Coc was hacked to death at his home. Two men stormed into his house and tried to assault his wife and 10 year old daughter. Coc intervened and he was chopped to death.

Evelyn Garcia - Wife
"A noche como las... (Last night around 10:30 two men arrived and they wanted to abuse me and my husband told them no no, I will not come out so they started to break down the door and when they broke down the door they started to drag my husband and they threw him to the ground and started to chop him and they wanted to rape my daughter.)"

Fortunately they didn't and the men ran off after the merciless attack. According to Garcia, one of the men is her brother in law and the issue stemmed from a September 25th incident where her brother in law was trying to seduce her but she refused and Coc got involved.

Evelyn Garcia
"Me dijo...(My brother in law told me lets go I want to live with you and I told him you are stupid, you have your woman and you can't disrespect me and I have my husband and then I spoke with my husband and he asked what the man said and I told him and then my husband said "oh okay, that is what he wants, well we will see right now" and my husband grabbed him and asked him why are you messing with my woman and then the man answered and said my husband will pay one way or the other, he would pay for what he did.)"

And so said so done, her brother in law and another man returned to exact their revenge but Garcia is confused as to why the men had to go to extreme of killing her husband over what seems like a petty dispute. She says aside from that incident, Coc had no issues with them or anyone else.

Evelyn Garcia
"No se (I don't know what happened maybe the men were on drugs or were drunk, I don't know if it is marijuana or cocaine, I don't know.) El no se...(My husband didn't mess with anyone, he would go to work then to home, he didn't mess with anyone.)"
