The cops are also investigating a stabbing incident which happened last night on Reggae Street in Belize City. It appears that two friends who were socializing had some sort of hard talk, which escalated with one man pulling a knife, which he used to stab 25 year-old Sylvestre Thompson.

Supt. Alejandro Cowo - OC, CIB "Yesterday, just at about 3 p.m., Mr. Sylvestre Thompson, 25 years old, he was along with other friends socializing in the Reggae Street [area], when an argument ensued with one of the male persons. As a result, he sustained stab wounds to his body. He was transported to the hospital, and he remains in a stable condition. Police have since detained one of the male persons who were along with him when the incident happened."
Reporter "Sir, is there any explanation as to what caused this dispute in terms of this argument between these 2 men."
Supt. Alejandro Cowo "What we understand is apparently after they were socializing, something was just said to one another, and that's what caused the fight that they had."
