On December 6th we told you about the pick-up truck stolen from deputy mayor of Benque Viejo Alvaro Gongora in the remote areas of the Hydro Road.
It was last seen racing across into Arenal, Guatemala. Well, the news tonight is that the vehicle has been discovered. Late reports to 7news are that The Toyota Hilux was found intact on the Guatemalan side of the border.
Earlier this month police took steps to block off backroads to Guatemala which bandits had been using to cross stolen vehicles destined for chop shops.
