Chester The Enabler of Entitlement?

We turn back now to our interview on Friday with the Police Commissioner. We asked him about the case with Kenzel Hulse and why police decided not to charge the young man for a firearm offence after he was accused of assaulting the mother of his child with a weapon.

Williams explained that there simply was not enough evidence. But we went further and asked him - if by the actions and inactions of his department - if he hasn't enabled Edmond Castro's sons.

At least twice, complaints have been made against Jafari Castro or Wasani Castro by police officers and no action has been taken. Back in September, a police officer accused Jahfari Castro and his father Edmond Castro of assaulting him and cursing him out. It happened near the end of the Leslie's Cycling criterium in downtown Belize City on Albert and Regent Streets. The police officer requested court action in a statement, but none was taken.

And then in November, his brother Wasani Castro was charged for allegedly assaulting ASP Irma Anderson.

We asked the Commissioner why there was no court action in the first complaint against Jahfari Castro in September and if that created an atmosphere of enabling:
