Man Charged For Christmas Day Shooting

On Thursday we told you about the Christmas day shooting that left 23-year-old Daniel Bennett unable to speak. It happened at about 12:25 p.m. on Christmas Day, December 25.

And today, Clifford Baptist, the man who allegedly shot Bennet to the mouth was charged with attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm in the court of Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford.

You'll remember that Bennet was walking on Mopan Street when he was approached by Baptist who allegedly fired shots at him.

No plea was taken on the indictable offence. And no bail was offered. Baptist has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until March 6th, 2020.
