Patt Accused As Ray Ban Robber

A Corozal man went to Belize City Magistrate's Court today charged with stealing a whole lot of Ray Ban sunglasses.

40 year old Ismael Patt, 40, from Caledonia Village, was charged with the theft of 50 dozen Ray Ban sunglasses, valued at $50 each when he appeared today before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts Anderson. Patt is also alleged to have stolen 19 small bottles of panty ripper, one bottle of Gold rum and 4 hammocks - all to a total value of $30,626. Patt pleaded not guilty and was released on a bail of $6,000. His case was adjourned until February 27.

Businesswoman 48 year old Denora Gusman, told Ladyville Police that on October 10th, she went to her sister's apartment building at mile 11 on the Phillip Goldson Highway, to check on some items she had stored there.

But when she looked inside the apartment, she found that several items were missing. The police investigation pointed to Patt who maintains his innocence.
