A fraudulent Facebook account has been made for another Belizean parliamentarian. This time, it is Elodio Aragon Jr., the National Security Minister of State.
A government press release says the fake page is being used to contact persons. "Friend requests are being sent out using this fake account under the name Elodio Aragon Jr."
So, how do you know the difference between this fake page and the real one?
Well, this account is linked to a US number. Aragon's real page doesn't use foreign phone numbers. A release says, "The public is advised to check the activity and other information on the page before accepting any requests. Any messages sent through Facebook Messenger should also be disregarded as Minister Aragon does not use Messenger to contact anyone." End quote.
