A child died in a freak accident in the the rural Mennonite community of Shipyard this afternoon.  Information is very preliminary at this time, but we know that an 8 year old was caught up and dragged by a fast galloping horse.  The child, Fran Reimer had reportedly tied himself on to the horse’s rope. 

Shipyard is considered a conservative mennonite community - where horses and buggies are the main means of transportation.
