For lovers of the herb, weed fudge is a discrete pleasure, but a Sandhill man who had enough fudge to float half of San Pedro has been convicted for drug trafficking.  

Police say he was caught on the island town with several blocks of weed fudge weighing a total of 1.6 pounds.

And yesterday in San Pedro court, 42-year-old Melvin Bood was fined $10,000 for the charge of drug trafficking in the court of Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts Anderson.

She additionally sentenced him to 3 years stipulating that defaulted payment of the fine would result in him serving an additional 3 years in the Belize central prison.
