WHO GETS THE REWARD…(UDPATE)
posted (January 13, 2020)
And while this young life is gone, there is one good thing that happened: all sectors of the community came together to find him.

And that was reflected in the rich, ten thousand dollar reward. It started out at a thousand dollars on Saturday morning, and then it went up to $5,000 dollars and just kept going up until it reached ten thousand dollars on Sunday.

That's an indication of how much public support was behind the manhunt for Kenrick Longsworth. And, it paid off; as you just heard he was caught in Isabella Bank - and it was with tips from the community. The commissioner says the rich reward will be split up four ways:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of police
"We have 3 persons who will be receiving the reward and they were the ones who actually fed the police with different information, at a particular time and the person who did the actual interception will get a part of the reward money."
