A security guard is in critical condition at the KHMH tonight after he was shot in the Lake Independence area.
31-year-old Micheal Pook was working in the BEL Ladyville compound when a gunman came up and shot him. We heard more from the police today.

"Michael Pook, 31 years old, was working as a security guard at a compound at the corner of Poinsettia and Tibruce Streets when he was approached by someone who fired shots in his direction. He was injured and taken to the KHMH where he is presently in a critical condition at this moment."

"I know he and his two brothers came off murder last year. Is there any indication if this may have been related to the past allegation of murder against him?"
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
"Yes, that is one of the theories that we are following. We also have other information that we have received and we are following that likewise."
In March of 2018, the the Pook brothers Michael, Ryan and Adrian were all freed of the May 2011 murder of the taxi driver, Errol "Lighter" Ferguson. They had been on remand for almost 8 years.
