Security Guard Tied Up At Happy Inn

A hotel security guard was allegedly attacked by three men while in his guard hut. It happened on Saturday night at about 7:30 at "Happy HAPPY Inn" near Belmopan.

33-year-old Ermis Paz was alone on the property. His employer had left for a short trip to Belize City when he was choked until he blacked out. And today police told us what Paz'a assailant's stole.

"Yesterday sometime around 2:30 pm the proprietor of Happy Inn along with her security visited the Belmopan police station and reported that on Saturday sometime around 7:30 pm whilst he was inside the guard hut at the hotel where he is a caretaker. He was approached by three male persons who assaulted him and as a result, a number of items were taken from the building including a flatscreen television. So far police have not detained anyone in relation to this investigation and we are investigating the matter. The security at that point was the only person on the premises at the time of the alleged attack."

"We were told that one of the persons had a weapon but it was not used in the attack."

The Items and cash stolen have a total value of $1520.00.
