The anti-discrimination bill proposed for passage in the early months of this year has fuelled spirited national debate. The consultations traveling nationwide have drawn crowds. But, so far, the attention has centered predominantly on the religious community - particularly the evangelical churches.

Hill said that while all have a right to share their views and advocate for the consideration of their recommendations, it should not be ignored or forgotten that the anti-discrimination bill actually represents benefits for all - socially, economically, culturally and otherwise.

Hill is fearful that the large crowds and the heated passionate voices will drown out others and fears the consultations are being hijacked.
Of course, we respect that there are a vast plurality of views, and we plan to represent all of them.
