Stepfather Charged For Beating Stepson

And while that businessman was way, way out of line in beating someone else's child, a stepfather might argue that he did have that right. But, police say he went too far. Still, the court has accused a a Belize Defence Force soldier of hammering his stepson. The allegations are that Kenneth Arzu of Bermudian Landing had beaten his son for not doing his homework. The boy was taken to a doctor who examined a swelling on the boy's back, and certified the injuries as harm. Yesterday afternoon, Arzu was arraigned on a single charge of harm where he pleaded non guilty. 14. Arzu was free to go on bail of $300.00 plus one surety of the same amount. He is to reappear in Court on February 27, 2020.
