Sedi Says Saldivar Innocent
posted (January 23, 2020)

And, as we already told you, at the top of that statement from the PM - he stressed that the extract form the trial documents, quote, “absolutely does not constitute so much as an allegation - much less provable material - that Minister John Saldivar received money from Kingston or Dermen.â€￾ End quote.

And, today, Elrington stressed that Saldivar still has not been found responsible for any wrongdoing:

Hon.Wilfred Elrington - Minister Of Foreign Affairs
"Actually what we're having at this stage are allegations and because we have such a good system, democratic system where you have what is called due process of law. A number of things have to happen before one can be deemed to be guilty of any offence. You're deemed to be innocent until proven guilty, so if there is an offense involved, that has got to be disclosed, he will have to be given the opportunity to mount a defence, much like President Trump is doing now at this point in time and I imagine that is going to take some time for us to know what the allegations are and then nobody knows what the outcome of a court case would be. So it's all speculation at this point in time."

And, again, that is the official position until and unless real evidence emerges which proves otherwise.

The Prime Minister’s statement ends by saying, “The Prime Minister can only act if there is evidence of the receipt of money by Minister Saldivar or some other improper or incriminating act.â€￾

We note that there are hundreds of documents counting thousands of pages which form the court papers for this case which is set to start on Monday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
