posted (January 23, 2020)

From a charge of murder to manslaughter 46 year old Noewellyn Williams took a guilty plea for the lesser charge when he appeared in Court today to answer to the killing his wife in the street.

You may recall the incident which occurred on August 9, 2019 at 88 Boulevard Plaza, located on Central American Boulevard. Williams went to meet Pop, the mother of his three children at Boulevard Plaza. He sat with Pop around a table for what he claimed was a negotiation to resume their relationship.  Pop had refused, and - in a caution statement - he detailed to police crying as she refused him, and then taking out the knife and stabbed her several times in her chest.

At trial, Williams was represented by attorney Stevanni Duncan while Crown Counsel Riis Cattouse represented the Crown.

Justice Colin Williams accepted the plea and deferred sentencing until February 6.
