Another murder that had occurred on the south-side of Belize City will see its accused walk away with a nolle pros. Crown Counsel Sheneiza Smith entered the nolle pros today for the murder of 44 year old Emerson Anderson. In March of 2018, a gun man barged into a group of friends on Ebony Street and opened fire. The bullet found its mark in Anderson who was the only person injured at the time.
His shooting was alleged to have been a case of mistaken identity because he was not a known gang figure. 20 year old Anthony Reyes was charged but he was sent home today after less than a year on remand. His attorney was Simeon Sampson.
