And, following up another of the five murders between Friday and Tuesday, last Night told you how 24-year-old Delbert Alvarez was killed on a weed run. His family believes that he was targeted for being a strange face in an unfamiliar neighbourhood.
And today Superintendent Cowo told us that while Alvarez was known to police he was not known to be involved in that areas feuds.

"For the past days in Belize City there was the shooting of Delbert Alvarez which occurred on Tuesday night just before 9 pm at a house located on Cumberbatch street where he went to purchase some items and whilst waiting for him to be served he was approached by someone who came from behind the house and fired at shot at his direction causing his death instantly at the location so far the investigation has revealed that he does not live in that immediate area. He was at a family friend's house across La Croix boulevard when he rode to Cumberbatch street. We have not established a motive as yet, we know that he has been in contact with the police on several occasions but it has been for other related incidents and does not have to do anything with any feud amongst people in that area."
As we told you last night Alvarez was shot to the stomach, and as he died he is reported to have called out: "Ma."Â
