And looking now to another of the recent spree of murders, it was the Monday morning murder that shocked the city. Ronald Micheal was helping a friend clear her yard in the Lake Independence area when he was gunned down and killed.
As we told you that area is ridden with gang hostilities between rival groups, and Michael may have been straying from his turf - and that put him in the line of hostile fire.
This morning the cops told us that several persons have been detained in connection with this case.

"That murder investigation again. There are several persons that have been detained from Tuesday and up to now people are being brought in that are being questioned. Some of them are still being detained and are being interviewed by different investigators to see what we can obtain from them. We know that he is from a particular group from that location, and where he was on that particular day of the unfortunate death partially belongs to another group in that area. Police has several patrols in that area definitely the amount of police have increased in that area and several persons are been detained and they will continue to be detained on the weekend so that we can avoid any further retaliation in that area."
Micheal's murder is thought to have been the catalyst for heightened tensions that contributed to Delbert Alvarez's demise the following day.Â
