As we showed you earlier, Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner and his council had an extended, impromptu press conference today. We say impromptu because it wasn’t really planned. It came out of a media breakfast which was organized to iron out the sometimes bumpy relations between the press and Mayor Bernard’s council. This culminate din a short lived media boycott of the council in September of last year.
And the breakfast gave both sides the chance to tell the other what they feel went wrong. So, the next story to recap all that is media housekeeping - but it is of public interest, and if not, it’s at least an entertaining, lively, candid exchange between the mayor, the council, and the press:
