There was a scary accident on the Philip Goldson Highway this morning which ended with a bus full of medical students overturned on the shoulder of the road. 

It happened sometime before 10 a.m near mile 7. This bus was transporting medical students to the Ladyville campus of the Columbus Central University School of Medicine. It is unclear what happened, but the driver lost control of the bus. It then swerved off to the side, then in the nearby bushes, where It ended up overturned. Although the accident was no doubt a scary experience, all of the passengers escaped serious harm. 

First responders tell us that several of the medical students were transported to the KHMH for minor injuries. 

The bus driver declined to comment.
