Tonight, some of the city's most well known street figures are in jail. They are the Meighan brothers, 27 year old Ellis, 26 year old Tyrone, and 23 year old Shaquile. All three were taken to court today and charged with "being the member of a gang", namely the "Banak Street Clique" and the Ghost Town Crips.
They all pleaded not guilty, but were remanded to prison because of the nature of the offence.
Their presence caused quite a stir at the courthouse, and the GSU was called to escort them too prison. The gang unit put them all in cuffs on their hands and feet and marched them off, Ellis first, Shaquille second, and Tyrone Meighan third.
Notably, they told Senior Magistrate Anderson that they feared they would be beaten up by the cops on their way to the prison because the police had already threatened them. The magistrate took note of their concern.
