Police are investigating a disturbing incident that happened last night at the Western border. 7News has confirmed that the customs building was shot - reportedly form the Guatemalan side of the border. The bullet penetrated the customs area, but fortunately no one was around at the time.
Reliable reports tell us that around 10:30 last night, a man trying to cross from Guatemala into Belize was turned back because he claimed to have nationality but his documents looked suspicious.
He is believed to be the one who fired at the border control building when he left. No word on what the Immigration air Customs Department will do to ensure that no harm comes to their officers following this episode.
