posted (February 10, 2020)
A home in St. Matthews Village was completely destroyed by fire yesterday. 33-year old Josue Urias Ambeliz was heading home from work when he was informed that his house was on fire. And, indeed he arrived to find the wooden and Zinc structure aflame.

ACP Joseph Myvette - Head NCIB
"On yesterday's date, shortly after 5 pm, Roaring Creek police were called to St. Matthews Village at the home of one Jose Ambeliz, a Guatemalan national, who reported to police that he received a telephone call shortly before 5 pm that his home was on fire so he rushed home where he observed his wooden house completely engulfed in flames. The fire department was unable to save any of his belongings so both the home and his belongings were completely destroyed by fire. At the time of the fire, no one was at home at his residence. The cause of the fire at this point in time also has not yet been determined. I believe that the home was valued at some $10,000 whilst the contents were also valued at $10,000."

Urias claims that the house and its contents were valued at approximately $20,000. No one was harmed in the fire.
