A BDF recruit from January's intake was shot this afternoon. 

18-year-old Wayne Perry was a part of the BDF pass out ceremony two weeks ago, but tonight he is in the hospital with serious gunshot injuries - and it wasn’t friendly fire.  

The young soldier was off duty and riding his bicycle on Violet Lane in the Lake Independence area. A gunman on motorbike came from behind and shot him in the abdomen as well as the left foot. He was rushed to the KHMH while a police crime scene team scoured the area of clues. They found 8 expended shells.
