Cops Caught Contraband Coming Down From North

Orange Walk Police are reporting that they were able to bust a major contraband move on the Yo Creek Road. The culprits, who are unknown at this time, tried to smuggle in an entire pickup truck filled with contraband beers.

At around 9:00 on Sunday night, officers from the Orange Walk Quick Response Team were on patrol on the Yo Creek Road. That's when they spotted a grey Ford Ranger pickup which was speeding down the road toward the direction of the Town. The officers set chase after the vehicle, and when they arrived at a dead-end of one of the Town Street, the realized that the occupants had abandoned it and escaped on foot. No one was found nearby.

The officers then searched the vehicle and found a cache of Mexican beers, including 22 cases Corona, 5 cases of Superior, 3 cases of Tecate, 1 case of Dos Equis, 1 case of Carta Blanca, and 2 cases of Caña Real. The license plate for the vehicle was noted, and according to the cops, the entire contraband stash was handed over to the Customs Department.
