And one man who often seems to know well in advance where the planes will drop is Edward Martinez.  He’s the same whistleblower calling himself the“Drug Hunterâ€￾ who held a press conference in January of last year.  He often seems to have very specific knowledge of when and where drug planes will land.  And twice in the last week, he predicted a landing off the Coastal Road before Friday - and it happened on Thursday morning.   

Today, we asked the Commissioner about it:

"On February 19th and on February 21st he posted that there is going to be a landing just off the Coastal Road. And so said, there was a landing off the Coastal Road. You may call it luck but we know that this gentleman has some level of ability to predict where these things go and when they happen because he said it will happen before the 28th. It happened on the 27th. I'm not holding him up as Nostradamus. I am just saying that, is there some other channel of information that the police are not accessing, where certain people know where these movements are going to happen."

"Well, I do follow Mr. Martinez's page. But again, whatever took place today had nothing to do with Mr. Martinez's page. It had to do with the effectiveness of the police operation and the fact that we were assisted with air access from other countries."

"On his page, he said that, and you would have read this, he said that his conclusion of the landing near the Coastal is brought on by the tracking of movements of former law enforcement officers, not police, from the BDF, who facilitate the landing of these planes, who have been doing scouting in that area. Is that something you all are following up on. Are there known persons that you believe may be landing these planes?"

"Of course we have people that we are looking at whom we suspect to be involved in these plane landings. We continue to monitor those persons and we continue to go after them. There are several other things that we have been doing that I am not going to share to the public where those persons are concerned."
