Helicopter’s Wreck Raised, but Are Those Bullet Holes?
posted (March 2, 2020)

And was one of those factors gunfire? Many civilians were questioning what looks to the untrained eye like bullett holes in the helicopter's body.

The wreck of the helicopter was raised this weekend and we asked Borland what it shows:..

Admiral John Borland - Chief of Defense Staff
"The investigation started over the weekend with the recovery of the wreck from the crash site. That was done by Cisco Salvage and Wreck Removal along with the Honduran Navy who were on-board with us from Friday afternoon. They deployed a chopper and fix-wing aircraft with a search and rescue and recovery team and remained on site assisting us up until yesterday evening, Sunday evening, with the removal of the wreck. The forensics and ballistics report should be in sometime today because they needed a chance to look at the remainder of the helicopter that was below the surface of the water to really establish if indeed what some folks were saying that there were bullet holes on the helicopter itself. The preliminary reports from what we've examined on the surface, both by our Honduran counterparts, they are experts as well, would suggest that those are not bullet holes but indeed the forensics report, because they have to do the swabs and testing for residue and everything on these holes to really ascertain. So, that report should be in sometime later today. And as soon as that becomes available we should make that knowledge known to you and to the public."
