And there is another murder to report; this one happened in Belize City this afternoon in a known hotspot.

It came out of a broad daylight shooting in the St. Martin's area on Police Street exention.

The chaos started at around 1:25 when a gunman entered G&E mechanic shop and began firing shots at 25-year-old Gregory Martinez. Martinez ran through his backyard onto Mahogany street where, as shown in this surveillance footage, he emerges onto Mahogany street and jumps into a dollar van. He's followed by the gunman who fires another barrage of shots into the van and behind it as it drives away killing Martinez and injuring 20-year-old Delmy Avilez as well as the van's driver Fransico Eddy Avilez. The driver managed to make it to the KHMH where Martinez was declared dead on arrival.

The family of the deceased refused to give an interview.
