BDF and Ministry Commit to Long Term Support For Families
posted (March 3, 2020)
And while that critical breakdown in communication already happened, what can the BDF and the government do for these servicemen who died while on a dangerous mission? In our interview with the Chief of Defence Staff Admiral John Borland yesterday, he said that caring for the families in the immediate and long term has to be the highest priority:...

Admiral John Borland - Chief of Defense Staff
"The Minister and the Ministry has directed that the BDF high command and elements of this Ministry reach out directly to those families, either the wives or their mothers, whoever the next of kin are and ensure that these people receive the highest level of support from the BDF, not only in the time of bereavements and stress as we are still in but extending into the future. That's another thing we need to talk about- how are we going to support these families moving forward to ensure that they get the same level of care as if their loved ones, husbands, brothers were still in the service and had completed a full military service or full career?"
