Three City Shootings In Two Hours, One Dead, One Critical, One Stable
posted (March 3, 2020)
There were three shootings in Southside of Belize City between 4:00 and 6:00 pm, and one man is dead, while two others are injured.

The first was a Belize City barber who was shot inside his shop on Zericote Street this evening. It happened around 4:15 just as 52-year-old John Crawford was finishing up with a client. He dusted that man off and then turned to ask who was next. That's when a waiting customer stood up and shouted "me" while pulling out a gun and firing at Crawford.

But the barber had glimpsed the gun if only for a second and was able to dodge what was intended to be a headshot, instead, the bullet went through his cheek and exited. Crawford was taken to the KHMH where he is listed in a stable condition.

About an hour later there was another shooting this one on Central American Boulevard in front of Bravo Shop - which is a heavily trafficked area - especially at rush hour. But that's where a gunman killed his target, and he lay dead on the sidewalk when our team got there. He was shot multiple times to the upper body.

And then a few minutes after that - shots were fired on Sarstoon St by the Long Barracks, where a 46 year old was hit. We do not know his condition at this time.
