Tonight, a single mother from Belize City and her 3 children are spending their second night homeless. That's after their house in the Jane Usher Boulevard area burnt down completely.
It happened sometime after 11:00 yesterday morning. According to Sheree Westby, she was called while she was at work, and she was informed that her home was ablaze.
When she arrived, there was nothing that could be done to save her belongings and those of her children. When she spoke with us yesterday, she was still in shock that she had lost everything. Here's what she had to say about her suspicions that faulty electrical wiring may have been the cause of the fire:
She told us that she and her children will be forced to beg lodging with an uncle that lives nearby. Anyone who is willing to assist her and her family to recover from this fire is asked to get in touch with her at the telephone number 626-1907.
