"There are several persons we are looking at and we know that there is a group of young men who are behind these shootings and we have some of them in custody at this time. The investigation is ongoing and we have collected a number of valuable information that we are using to guide the investigation and we are hoping that we will be able to make an arrest in at least one of them by the end of this week."

Reporter
"So, the shootings, you believe are related?"

Chester Williams
"Yes, they are related."

Reporter
"Were they retaliatory in nature, sir?"

Chester Williams
"Yes they were."

Reporter
"You once boasted that whenever a shot is fired on the southside you know who do it. Do you know who did it in this case or you only had that knowledge when you were OCED?"

Chester Williams
"You know that I was involved in mediation and intervention and these guys would normally come and say who do what and then yes, I know but I am no longer engaged in those activities so I don't have that knowledge as I did then. But, I can say for the three shootings that happened yesterday, we do know who did them."

And while Micheal Barrera and Keith Courtenay met tragic and violent ends. Barber John Crawford, the man who dodged a bullet during yesterday's fateful shootings is recovering from his injuries at the KHMH. The bullet went through his cheek, because he managed to dodge a headshot at close range. He is listed as stable. This was the second attempt on his life in two weeks.
