27-year-old Tishawn Hamilton was charged more than three years ago with the murder of his own 17 YEAR old cousin. 

Hamilton pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter in the court of Justice Marilyn Williams - and was sentenced today.  For the plea, he got a deduction of a third of his sentence which put the remainder of the time he would serve at 10 years. That sentence was further reduced to 7 years given that he had served three years on remand.  

The incident occurred in February of 2017. Hamilton had argued with his cousin, Eaton Lamb, over some money. An unarmed Lamb received a stab wound to the chest during the altercation. 

At the sentencing, Hamilton testified on his own behalf and he expressed his remorse for the pain and sorrow he caused to his cousin’s family.
