And this morning when Superintendent Alejandro Cowo addressed their murders, he said that police could not be sure who the intended target was because of the number of people residing in the home.

"Just after an hour or hour and a half, police responded to shots being fired at the corner of Landievar Street and Sixth Street, at a two story green color board house. Upon, police's arrival, they observed the body of a male person inside of one of the rooms. The person was identified as a Phillip Lesley, 27 years Belizean of that address. Also, police were informed that there were other two gunshot victims at the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital. One was identified as Shakira White and a minor. Both of them having injuries to their bodies. Unfortunately, Shakira White passed away minutes later whilst recieving treatment at the hospital. This morning, another minor was taken to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital who was inside of that same residence when the shooting happened. That other baby also had gunshot injuries to his body. The baby that was admitted last night is in a critical condition and this one is in a stable condition."

"We are trying to establish that motive as we have spoken to several family members and it is a large number of family members that reside at that building. So, I cannot tell you at this very moment who was the intended target or if it was the person that passed away or if it was somebody else who was inside the other rooms."

"It must be concerning to you that children were caught in the crossfire."

"Yes, unfortunately they were cuaght and there are many children that live inside of that house in three separate rooms that is under the first floor." 

One person has been detained in connection with the shooting of the Rhamdas children and the murders of their mother and step-father.
