Tough Times At Tropic Air

So, while that is the plan for schools, the situation isn't so simple for businesses within the tourism industry. Stakeholders are already feeling the financial pain resulting from the world’s populations shutting down all international travel, while everyone bunkers down for the pandemic to run its course.

The biggest domestic carrier, Tropic Air is one of those tourism stakeholders who is losing 10s of millions of dollars in this climate of global tourism industry meltdown.

They are already reporting that their revenues have been cut by half, and they are doing the best they can to remain open for business and keep people employed during the global COVID-19 scare. We spoke with the President of the company in San Pedro today, and about their plight:

As you heard, the company is doing the best it can to keep all employees on staff during this global emergency. The president tells us that they have a series of very difficult decisions that they may have to make, but right now, no one is being laid off.
