And while that’s one less utility to worry about for the most needy to worry about, you might still be stressing about paying those upcoming property taxes, both commercial and residential. Well, the City Council is lending its own helping hand by giving 15% discounts on residential property taxes and 10% discounts on commercial property taxes for a 3 month period.
And if you’re a vendor or peddler there’s also a slight break, because the council is giving a 3-month payment write off for those licenses. It’s all a part of the COVID-19 relief package designed to cushion the economic blow that the virus has recently dealt to Belizeans from every single economic sector.
