A. Saldivar, Seen Some Troubles
posted (March 31, 2020)
Last night, we told you about the legal troubles that Arthur Saldivar, the well-known attorney, sometimes politician, was facing after his Facebook post from this weekend. Police accused him of spreading fake news and causing unnecessary panic. But, it appears that this post has gotten him into more problems than he anticipated.

We understand that since yesterday, he has been detained by police, and he could be facing firearms-related charges. Police have not decided just yet, but we understand that they may charge him for unlicensed firearms and ammunition. That's because he was a licensed firearm holder. Reliable sources tell us that the issue he is having is that his license expired several months ago. So, if that is accurate, it would mean that he has been in possession of a weapon without a valid gun license. Also, the cops went to search his family home last night, where they found more weapons.

His colleague, Richard "Dickie" Bradley, has been following his troubles, and he told the press today that those weapons are duly licensed to a family member of his. We understand that he remains in police custody, and his colleagues are outraged because of that. They are suggesting that police are foot-dragging with the process of bringing criminal charges. Our colleagues from Plus TV News was at the Belmopan Police Station today, and they spoke with "Dickie" Bradley about unfolding saga. Here's what he had to say:

We also contacted Saldivar, who's usually media-friendly, for comment about the post, and the criminal charge he is now facing. He declined via text saying quote, "The matter is before the court at this time; I am the accused… [I] Pled not guilty." End quote.

And reliable but unconfirmed reports reaching 7News is that Saldivar may be facing firearms charges because his gun license for his personal weapon expired a year ago, and he did not renew it
