Patient #3 Speaks Out
posted (April 6, 2020)
And while the Prime Minister is trying to smooth things out with the nurses, patient 3 today made his first public statement - and he's trying to clear the air for himself.

Numerous rumours have been floating around about The Belize City Northside resident, that he's roaming the streets, driving around and risking thee safety of many.

So, to counter these rumours that he was showing blatant disregard for the wellbeing of others, he made an attempt to do so today when he called into Love FM's COVID watch. Here's what he told the host, and the commissioner of police, who was on air:

Patient #3
"I feel very good. I'll be honest with you, I was in the states for a little while. I came home, I came to isolate, but actually, I am tired of isolating. So I went to get a test."

Radio Host #1
"But Patient #3, there are several reports about you not being in self-quarantine."

Patient #3
"This is what I am trying to come across. I told some people already - a lot of people don't know this, this ones that are spreading the rumor. I have 8 cameras at my house and I told the police they can come at anytime to come and check my cameras to see if I went anywhere. You all can arrest those people who are making those false accusations. I have the evidence."

Radio Host #1
"So you have not left your areas, you have been told to stay."

Patient #3
"I haven't left. These are only accusations. They called the police, they say that me and a friend are in a SUV driving around trying to spread it - all kinds of things you hear. The worst thing about this sickness that they say I picked up, is if they say you have it. I will tell Belizeans, be prepared for the mental part of it. You know how I started, early one morning I drank a ice cold Gatorade and it just itch my throat. I had a slight cough and I still went to do a test, because I am tired of being in isolation. I went, didn't have any fever, no cough, no shortness of breath - nothing. Up to now I have nothing, but they say I have this virus and I am still isolated, still in quarantine, despite all the rumors out there right now, I sound very good. I get up and do my exercise every morning. I even take my little drink."
