Williams also outrightly rejected any similarities drawn between the
act of sexual coercion and the week's other major incident of public
police misconduct. That one happened in San Martin where an elderly
man was badly beaten by police.
But, Williams said that the act of sexual depravity could never be put
under the same heading as the incident in San Martin.
Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"Police brutality or police misconduct has always been here and I don't
want to put this incident in the same category as San Martin. I could
understand yes police may get overzealous and use unnecessary force or
excessive force but I don't, I cannot understand what could have
entered the minds of these, I don't even want to refer to them as
officers to coerce two innocent agents into some sexual activity for
their own gratification. This is past the mark it is beyond it and so
to put this in the same boat as San Martin, no it cannot go."
