Should Downtown Shoppers and Bank-goers Worry?
posted (April 14, 2020)
As we showed you earlier, one of those clusters have links to downtown Belize City - and tonight three establishments at the heart of the city are shut down for decontamination.

Now, those are businesses at the heart of the city, and, before COVID, every day, hundreds of pedestrians would be in and out of those establishments.

So, should they be concerned for their health about possibly coming in contact with the highly infectious COVID 19? We asked Manzanero today:..

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"Is there any advice for persons who visit Downtown Plaza, Brodies downtown, or Scotiabank downtown in the past few weeks? Nothing specific, because you would have been a casual contact. It's the close contacts that we routinely go out and look for. If you were a close contact of the persons that have been identified as positive or you were at the social event on the 14th of March and you are symptomatic, you would need to be swabbed."
