And while that is worrying, the news is not all bad. Very sadly, two have died from the corona virus, but most of the persons who have tested positive are not showing symptoms and some who were hzispptialized are improving. Manzanero gave an update today:

"Out of these 18 cases, I can say that 2 are in the hospital. As you know we have had 2 deaths related to Covid-19 and 14 are being taken care of at home. Most of these patients are virtually asymptomatic. The majority of these patients as you would know were simply captured because we were doing screening in the asymptomatic close contacts. The 2 patients that are hospitalized have progressed fairly good and the one at Karl Heusner is being considered for moving out of the intensive care unit sometime this week, up to the data that I have this morning and the patient from Corozal has progressed significantly no longer requiring IV fluids, so that we may actually be considering whether this patient can be taken care of at home, since he no longer requires any hospital care."
