Easter Traffic Fatality In Corozal
posted (April 14, 2020)
There was a fatal traffic accident during the Easter Holiday weekend, that has claimed the life of a Corozal resident.

He has been identified to us as 40-year-old Cristobal Cano, a villager from Concepcion, Corozal. Police say that on Holy Saturday, they visited an area between miles 74 and 75 of the Philip Goldson Highway. When they arrived they found a red Meilun motorcycle on the shoulder of the road. Its front portion was extensively damaged. The officers also found a man, later identified as Cano, on the pavement, with severe injuries to the face and body.

Initial investigation indicates that Cano was traveling on his motorcycle, and he was heading to his home village. While on the way, he somehow lost control of the motorbike and fell facedown. The cops believe that the speed at which he was going before the spill caused him to slide about 50 feet on the road's pavement. He passed away at the KHMH on Easter Sunday at around 8 a.m.
