posted (April 16, 2020)

Turning back now to COVID-19 news, as we said at the top, there are no new cases to report tonight. So, since Monday, no new cases have been detected - while testing continues.  So, of the 18 cases detected, two have died, and 16 are still COVID 19 positive.

Today on Ask The Experts, The Director of Health Services also gave an encouraging update on those 16:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"No recovered patients, but how are they doing? They are doing fairly good, you would have seen a little video that we shared yesterday and I think we need to share success stories, let's not only concentrate on the negatives at this point in time. So the KHMH Patient was at ICU has been transferred back to the Western Health Region because he has done fairly well. We are looking at the patient in Corozal and looking to see if there is condition for that patient to also be transferred both patients, if they will have conditions that home that they can be taken care of without getting into further complications."
