There's a rift between Northside and southside police in Belize City. That's after two Northside police officers were charged for violating the curfew, that is being out of their homes after 8:00 pm.
This caused a rift, because the two constables were taken to precinct two and held like regular criminals - which they felt was un-necessary. In fact, they felt like they shouldn't have been picked up at all, since they were just talking.
But, the arresting police officers from the southside said the law has to be applied equally and Constables Martinez and Roches were charged for violating the curfew.
