The Government is also reporting that the online portal for the Unemployment Relief program has been updated to allow applicants to review their applications make the necessary corrections for missing or incorrect information.

We told you on Monday that among those 72,213 applications that were submitted for the assistance, were a large number of applications with incorrect information. The information technology team was hard at work to create an addition to the web portal to allow applicants to go online and review the status of their applications.

Well, that additional tool is now active, and according to the government, many applicants have made use of it. For the most part, it was successful in achieving its intended purpose.

The government notes, however, that a number of persons have mistakenly received a message indicating that their application did not meet the eligibility requirements. That message has been removed until its functionality in the web portal can be corrected. All applicants who received that message are to note that their applications are being reviewed, and they are not disqualified just yet, as this notification feature of the portal prematurely indicated.
