Pump Price Plummets
posted (April 24, 2020)
We've been reporting it for over a weeks and finally we can confirm tonight that the new, sharply reduced price for regular fuel goes into effect at midnight.

The current price of $10.23 per gallon is going down by almost three dollars to $7.26 per gallon. The two dollars 97 cent decrease is probably the single largest price drop on record, and it comes as world oil prices briefly went into negative figures this week.

For the time being, the prices for premium, kerosene, and diesel will remain unchanged at $10.92, $5.43, and $8.25 per gallon. We are told that diesel fuel is expected to go down perhaps next week.

The price decrease was slow to come because - with the national state of emergency - gas stations are prorating that sales have decreased by as much as 60 to 70% - and they could not finish the old stock of higher priced fuel.
