On Monday's news, we told you about 22-year-old Dion White. He's the man who the police arrested and charged a number of offenses, including murder for the shooting death of 33-year-old Walter Ezekiel Usher, and attempted murder for the shooting of 61-year-old Joyce Edwards. Well, tonight, the man who police believe was his accomplice is at the Belize Central Prison.
He's 23-year-old Evan Murrillo, a resident of Rio Grande Crescent in Belize City, and he was arraigned in Magistrate's Court today for the offenses of murder against Usher, and attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm against Edwards. He has been remanded.
As we reported, on the night of Saturday, February 22, 2020, Usher was at a friend's house on Rio Bravo Crescent. Two men arrived in the area on a motorcycle, and they reportedly fired a barrage of gunshots in Usher's direction. He was fatally injured. Unfortunately, Joyce Edwards and her family were passing by in her son-in-law's vehicle at the same time as this street execution. She had traveled from Forest Home in Toledo to visit an ailing friend, and she was innocently injured in the wild spray of bullets.
